Good nutrition is vital to staying healthy as we age. However, there are many physical and mental health changes that occur in older adults that make it difficult to maintain proper nutrition and, as a result, oral health and overall health can suffer. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it even more difficult for many older adults to access and prepare meals for themselves, as well as access regular oral and medical health care.

 

Our new blog overviews the connections between nutrition and oral health in older adults, along with the many challenges they face in maintaining their nutritional health and how these barriers are exacerbated by the present pandemic.
