Smiles for Life, the nation’s only comprehensive oral health curriculum, was developed by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Group on Oral Health. These popular 45-minute modules cover core areas. They make it easy for individual practitioners to learn on their own time at their own pace. They can also be easily implemented in an academic setting. Each learning module can be used in its entirety, or adapted for specific populations.

Smiles for Life is a partner of the Oral Health Nursing Education Program (OHNEP).

User competencies are measured through assessments at course completion. Free continuing education credit from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is available for clinicians. The curriculum format is based on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) competencies.
